Despite being billed as a Hopalong Cassidy novel, this particular story has nothing to do with him at all.One of his ranch hands moves around, finds a different ranch, and the story focuses on him.
The story in itself is OK, the style of writing grates after a while. Everyone seems to love the sound of their own voice and will go on for ages in a forced kind of "gosh darn it" fake western accent.
