It's a bit cliched in places, but the missions they undertake are different enough from each other that you keep reading to see how they will get out of each situation.
The first book takes up the majority of space on the Kindle edition, books 2 and 3 are quite a bit shorter, but the author keeps things moving along at a good speed and fits a lot into them.
