Pleasant enough way to pass a few hours.Interesting group of characters as Death takes on an apprentice (the titular Mort), and tries to enjoy life.
As this is an earlier book, the pathos isn't layered over it as thickly as the later ones, and you can just enjoy the bizarre situations he throws up.
