Whispers Under Ground
PC Peter Grant is back in another London based police procedural with a hint of the otherworldly about it.The usual mixture of dark humour, interesting characters (human and otherwise) and places.
Always good when he takes places that you know and gives them a bit of a skew.
The only problem with these books is they're over too soon! Started yesterday evening, finished while on the Central Line home tonight.
Really liked the references to D&D (and the Call of Cthulhu RPG) and Space Hulk.
And the Pulp "Common People" line got a laugh.
