If you've read one Terry Brooks novel, then you'll know how this one is going to turn out.Enigmatic strangers, youngsters having to accept responsibilities they don't think they can handle, others with their own agenda...
Predictable stuff, with the downside that nothing really gets resolved in this book. It's part 1 of 2, but would have been better if at least some threads got tied up, rather than taking 400+ pages to leave things hanging.
Might lead to more sales for people who really have to know how it ends, but that won't be me.
