Deep Strike
Decent page-turning sci-fi looking at an attempt to forge various alien races (and humans) into a coherent fighting force.Battle scenes are good, team members seem believable.
Not a whole lot of characterization, beyond explaining what each race looks like and how they behave, but could be down to being written from the lead characters point of view.
