Tek War
Cheesy, cliched sci-fi, supposedly written by William Shatner.But, for all that, it's actually quite a good read, especially for a commute into work, when you can just switch your brain off and read it on auto-pilot.
Jake Cardigan, framed for a crime he didn't commit and sentenced to 15 years in the Freezer (cryogenic hibernation), gets released early in order to investigate a missing scientist and his daughter.
Along the way he meets androids, cyborgs and robo-bulls, most of whom try to kill him, and he has to escape from various situations.
One thing I noticed this time around was that in the future, apparently everything will be made of plastic. Plaswood and plasglass get mentioned a few times, presumably Plasplastic as well.
