Wool

Wool - Hugh Howey As far as the people in The Silo know, they are the only people left in the world.
Rules and regulations make sure everyone conforms to keep things running smoothly, and any dissenting voices take a trip "Outside", which is a sure fire way to a quick death.

It's also split into divisions, with the up-top people feeling superior to the down-belows who keep the machinery running. Somewhere in the mix is IT, with knowledge that will never be shared.

Juliette finds herself promoted up-top to take on the job of Sheriff during some dark times, against the wishes of IT who manage to get her sent outside.

Unfortunately for them, she doesn't die and what she finds has the potential to destroy everything.

This was a well written book, real page turner to see what happens next. Good characters, interesting theories and the whole structure of the Silo was well explained.
